"The entire trip was an exceptional experience for our management team. How you so effectively organized it, executed it, and graciously handled our idiosyncrasies is deeply appreciated. No one else but you could organize such a trip of enlightenment."

Earl Wright, Chairman, AMG National Trust Bank
South America, October 2007

"I must say that the trip you designed, planned, and executed to perfection was off the charts. Chap and I had such an extraordinary time. Every day was as good or better, if that is possible, than the last. There was absolutely nothing that we did that I would have wanted to leave out.”

“Our new knowledge of China has forever changed our world outlook. I thought I knew what to expect before our trip, but it is impossible to truly understand the magnitude of the breadth and depth of China without having been there.”

“It is such a fantastic feeling to just put yourself in the capable hands of others each day. No stress, no worries!”

Ethel Hutcheson, Houston businesswoman
China, April 2008

“We picked this trip because it promised to take us far from our realm of experience. We hoped through Don’s business perspective and your political ones, Gail, to have a rich context to learn about China and Mongolia. Most important, through your help, Jo and I see the world differently than we did last month or two years ago before we went to India with you. Your personal care and diligence made it look easy. It wasn’t, and we are grateful to share this experience with you.”

Bob McKenzie, Director, Crown Castle International, former telecom executive
China and Mongolia, June 2007

Gary and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your careful and expert planning and judgments which went into making the trip so meaningful.

One magic thing was that you two shared the experiences with us with the enthusiasm of first timers even though you had been there done that. So we had your experience and expertise with a light and fun hand. Our own been there done that would have made us restless under a heavy hand.

We have NEVER learned so much in such a brief period of time, laughed ourselves silly as often, been more pampered, eaten as lavishly, and met such thoughtful travel companions, and felt so smart as when we decided to travel with Gail Schoettler and Don Stevens to Vietnam in February 2009.

Under Gail and Donald's careful tutelage and direction the trip was fantastic, interesting, rewarding, uplifting. Great sights, magnificent organization, excellent food and wonderful people to share with, to discuss history and insights with and to laugh with and at. The mix of deep history with more touristic sights, the availability of local experts to delve into current policies (we had an afternoon with university lecturers) and, not least, the congenial individuals we shared the trip with, bringing their knowledge, experiences and philosophies, all these made for a marvelous vacation. We can't wait for Don and Gail to invite us to their next adventure - but of course they will be researching it and even traveling to it to make sure that organization is seamless, before the offering will be out there.
