Friday, March 23

  • Flights to Rio de Janeiro via Houston or Washington.

Saturday, March 24

  • Arrive in Rio.
  • Transfer to Copacabana Palace Hotel on Rio's world-famous
    Copacabana Beach.
  • Visit Museu Internacional de Arte Naif, a small art museum with exceptional "primitive" paintings by Brazilian artists, and H. Stern, the world famous jewelry house which is headquartered in Rio.

Sunday, March 25

  • Take a cable car to the top of Sugarloaf for a spectacular view of Rio's beaches, coves and mountains.
  • Visit the Tijuca Rainforest before taking the tram to the top of Corcavado for another incredible view of Rio. Time to walk along the lively and lovely Copacabana Beach in the late afternoon.

Monday, March 26

  • Fly to Iguassu Falls to visit one of the wonders of the world, the
    2.5 mile long falls stretching across the Brazil / Argentina border.
  • Transfer to Hotel das Cataratas, an Orient Express hotel, and the only hotel in the Brazilian national park, overlooking the Brazilian side of the falls.
  • Enjoy walk along the Brazilian side of the Falls. (Take poncho or
    rain jacket!)

Tuesday, March 27

  • Visit Itaipu Dam, the second largest hydroelectric dam in the world, on the borders of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
  • Walk along Argentine side of the Falls and take boat up to the roaring Iguazu Falls.

Wednesday, March 28

  • Fly to Buenos Aires.
  • Transfer to Park Hyatt Hotel.
  • Sightseeing in Buenos Aires, including San Telmo, Palermo
    and La Boca.
  • Dinner and tango show.

Thursday, March 29

  • Day of sightseeing in Buenos Aires, including museums
    and Plaza de Mayo.

Friday, March 30

  • Day of business visits in Buenos Aires, including the U.S. Embassy.

Saturday, March 31

  • Flight to Santiago, Chile.
  • Drive to Casa Lapostolle's Clos Apalta vineyard for check-in to their luxurious casitas overlooking their vineyards and the Andes Mountains. Tour of the wine cellar.
  • Enjoy superb food and wine on the terrace.

Sunday, April 1

  • Day of visiting wineries and the wine museum in the
    Santa Cruz area.

Monday, April 2

  • Drive to Santiago, enjoying lunch en route at the Santa Rita Winery.
  • Check in to Ritz Carlton Hotel.

Tuesday, April 3

  • Meeting at U.S. Embassy.
  • Sightseeing in Santiago, visiting the central square and neighborhoods nestled up close to the 20,000 ft. high Andes, only a few miles to the east.

Wednesday, April 4

  • Flight to Puerto Montt to begin drive around the shores of
    Lake Llanquihue, with views of Osorno, an active volcano, and over the Andes to Argentina.
  • Check in to Llao Llao, overlooking Lake Moreno.

Thursday, April 5

  • Day free for golf, hiking or relaxing in the spa.
  • Overnight at Llao Llao.

Friday, April 6

  • Private boat tour of the lake.
  • Free for spa, hiking or relaxation.

Saturday, April 7

  • Flight to Buenos Aires to connect to evening flights to U.S.
    (Houston or Washington).

Sunday, April 8

  • Arrive in Denver.
